Forth and Borders Access

SNH works in partnership with a wide variety of other organisations and land managers to promote responsible access to the countryside for all. In particular we work with local authority access officer and countryside rangers to promote the Scottish Outdoor Access Code (SOAC).

We also provide advice and funding for access improvements e.g. new multi use routes and signage including following long distance routes.
