Grampian
Area Staff and how we work
Within each of Grampian’s four sub-areas, there are between two and four Area Officers who deal with our day to day work, which includes responding to planning consultations, advising land owners, assessing grant applications and providing information to the public. A small group of more specialist staff deal with National Nature Reserves, issues relating to Recreation and Access, Site of Special Scientific Interest condition monitoring & management, the international designations known as Natura sites and Land Agency matters.
The Area Manager has ultimate responsibility for all SNH’s work in Grampian and is supported by two Operations Managers who manage our staff, budgets, and work planning and reporting. A small group of administrative staff provide reception services, publications and library support, inventory, financial control and general administrative support.
