Renewable Energy - Research & Trends

As the number of applications for renewable energy developments grows, it is important that SNH maintains a national overview based upon clear information about trends in renewable energy proposals.  SNH produces two key documents to help keep track of progress at the national scale.  The first is a windfarm footprint map which shows the location of windfarms and windfarm proposals and their physical footprint at a national scale.  The windfarm footprint map can be downloaded here. 

The second is a series of ‘Renewables Trends in Scotland’ reports which are produced annually.  These are available to download as ‘pdf’s below:
